MISTEA

UMR729 - MISTEA Mathématiques, informatique, statistique pour l’environnement et l’agronomie

The research projects carried out within MISTEA focuses mainly on modelling, analysis and control of biological, agronomical or environmental systems. The group has a strong expertise in stochastic modelling, data analysis and artificial intelligence. An important part of its research activities concerns Bayesian estimation, curve clustering, dynamic systems and decision support. Another research topic is relative to integrated data management, knowledge representation and reasoning. All the researchers involved in the project have a deep experience of interdisciplinary collaborations, including the applied fields of food processes, plant biology and biotechnology. MISTEA will aggregate the complementary competences of several external partners, including the software platform RECORD (INRA - Toulouse), EPI Virtual Plants, I3M and MIA Jouy (INRA).

Contribution to the project

MISTEA leads or co-leads two methodological projects: MCP2 for providing a consistent distributed information system that will be accessible to the research community of the PHENOME project and MCP3 for developing biomathematical and bioinformatics approaches to annotate and analyse phenotyping data
